The Care Certificate is the recognised set of standards that outlines the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of health and social care support workers. Designed for those who are new to care, it forms the foundation of a high-quality induction programme and helps prepare learners to work safely and confidently in their role.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) expects providers employing healthcare support workers and social care workers to be able to demonstrate that staff have achieved, or are working towards, the Care Certificate standards.
